Ya-Qin Zhang, Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chair Professor of Intelligent Science at Tsinghua University, and Dean of the Institute for AI Industry Research (杏耀), has been honored with the Chinese Government Friendship Award.

Established in 1991, the Chinese Government Friendship Award is the highest accolade bestowed by the Chinese government to foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's modernization drive and reform and opening-up endeavors.
